Will Granat Design Host My Website’s URL?

We offer hosting of your WordPress website. We do not host your domain. All domains are owned by you in your own domain registrar account. We only need access to point the domain IP address to our hosting servers.

Will My Website Be Accessible on a Mobile Device?

Yes! All our websites are ‘mobile-responsive’, meaning the same website will be adjusted for optimal viewing on all devices (ie. desktop, table, mobile phone)

What Is “SEO,” and Why Is It Important?

SEO stands for “search engine optimization.” In simple terms, it means the process of improving your site to increase its visibility when people search for products or services related to your business in Google, Bing, and other search engines. The better visibility your pages have in search results, the more likely you are to garner attention and attract prospective and existing customers to your business.

Note: SEO actually does not refer to online advertising, such as pay-per-click (PPC) ads. This is called SEM and stands for “search engine marketing”

What is WordPress, and How Is It Used?

WordPress is open source software that is currently used in approximately 40% of the internet. All of our websites are built in WordPress. We also utilize both free and paid premium plugins to develop your website, depending on the functionality needed.

How Long Does A Typical Website, Logo, or Print Project Take?

All projects vary in time to completion, and are all dependent on client approvals, as well as client-provided content. A typical brochure website (one without ecommerce or other specific functionality) usually ends up taking between 3-6 weeks, with ecommerce sites a bit longer. Again, this timeline is almost always influenced by the amount of client responsiveness. We almost always are waiting on either content or approvals during projects. Same applies for logos and print projects. Your responsiveness has a direct impact on the timeline of any project.
